tengah tengok re-play of 9/11 kat MSNBC ngan History Channel tadi.
it was awfully scary, watching the tragedy all over again.

starting with the plane crashing into the first tower.
making the channels and media all over the world to turn towards one sole location.
people with cameras and videocams documenting the start of a pandemonium.
civilians going away from the site.

and then the second plane crashed into the second tower.
with the shock from the first crash still fresh, this one made the people's fear turn into something indescribeable.
more people panicking.
policemen directing civilians away from the site.
more firefighters were sent to the buildings to rescue those who were trapped, especially in the upper floors.

after a while, some people even jumped off the buildings.
who knows what they were thinking, maybe the fire were unbearable anymore, maybe they thought the firefighters wouldn't be there in time.
lives started to perish, one by one.

and then, the collapse of the South Tower.
as i was watching, the only thing going through my mind was :
"the people inside...the firefighters inside trying to rescue them..."
leaving people speechless.
more panicking.
the scene of the tower falling down itself was horrific.
smoke and debris flying everywhere, like a scene from some movie.

to conclude, the North Tower followed suit.
the second wave of smoke, dust and debris washed over that part of New York.

man, it was horrible.
words alone couldn't describe the situation.
everything seems surreal.

so again, to the lives lost during the tragedy,
the innocent people in the planes,
the working people in WTC,
the unkowing civilians underneath the buildings,
the brave firefighters and rescuers who sacrificed logic to save those people,
may you all rest in peace.
