alright, ari ni birthday Laily, and we decided on a celebration.

masa tengah beli barang, terjumpa these cans, dan saya telah gelak ngan selamba.
masa dah nak time celebrate tu, rupanya diorang nak celebrate the May children sekali, which means i'm included too, so...yeah. prepare celebration untuk diri sendiri is a bit awkward. but mainly untuk Laily, sebab memang birthday de ari ni.

petang tu ada honors class punya presentation of their research, and it's open to the public, so Elly ajak pegi tengok. kind of interesting, dengar their achievements and all. inspiring, but i'm not fully inspired, honestly. sebab semangat tak tinggi.
to tell the truth, i stayed til the end sebab makanan -- we didn't know there's gonna be food. masuk je entrance, saya ngan jakunnya telah kata kat Elly : "wehhh makanannn wehhh~"
light food, cam salad and sandwiches. lepas speech and pemberian certificates, ada ice creams and cakes. (note the plural -- TWO cakes, quite a lot of ice cream.)
lepas tu kami tetiba saja nak tengok this wall yang MSA (Muslim Student Association) dirikan, in conjunction of Peace Week (or something like that -- minggu tu saya agak antisosial) and Palestine's situation.
the wall is really awesome, very creative, can't believe they did it on their own.

pergi rumah Auntie Siti, masak-masak-makan-makan, since she's alone at her house at the time. saya takat potong-potong bawang sket, pastu dah. haha.

May 24 :
saya dan Elly telah teringin sangat nak makan sushi, maka kami ke Todai kat Puente Hills Mall, perjalanan yang amek masa dalam sejam gak rasanya naik bas ari tu. dah laa driver time tu bawak ngan extra-careful, selalu bas bawak laju je. aaakh tension. lunch punya session dah nak abes plak.
nasib sempat sampai 1 hour before lunch session tamat.
Elly tak menyempat duduk pun, letak je barang kat meja, terus menghala nak amek makanan (makan ala buffet all-you-can-eat), sampai the waiter tanya nak air apa pun boleh tak perasan. ngahaha.

mintak Chris tolong ajar tune gitar, and kebetulan time tu ramai pulak kat rec center (kami main pingpong malam tu). lepas tune Chris main some songs and they sang along. kind of fun jugak laa.

pagi pegi Fashion District kat LA, Elly nak try carik baju untuk pegi banquet.

after a few shops, you can feel that they're kind of the same je semua. ah well.

last night of studying, and my desk space just expanded into Nadzirah's.

decided to walk home instead of taking the bus, sebab dah lama tak jalan from kelas to Village, plus nak relieve finals stress, so there i was, walking home.
and it was a good thing too, i saw something :

ada satu buku tu (under kategori collectibles rasanya) pasal Barbie dolls, the edition dari awal sampai the newest. memang kagum laa tengok.
then another one, cara ikat tali kasut yang banyak dan pelbagai. buku ni serius BEST. one of the best style untuk ikat tali kasut :

dunno kalo korang dah tau pasal ni, tapi saya memang jakun gila laa. later saya try buat. maybe.

midnight was Dilla's birthday.

this is Dilla.
she was my housemate masa kat Arena dulu, during my stay in Block A.
today is also the day MUST IN 2008 diadakan kat SMASKP (my old school) by some of my batchmates and junior batch. i called them that night (before going to Dilla's birthday), and it turned out yang tahun ni punya MUST IN adalah sangat best~ time call tu diorang tengah ada aktiviti, so i said to them yang saya akan call balik time pagi.
pagi tu bangun awal semata-mata nak call diorang lagi sekali. demi korang, aku sanggup!! anyways, memang lama gak laa cerita, an hour jugak kot? cerita how the program went (was smooth, thankfully), some concerns about the current students, tanya khabar semua.
pastu diorang tetiba mintak buat sikit pesanan/ucapan pulak.
i was like "wadde--?! sekarang ke?!" since diorang nak rekod the call then play it sometime during one of their activities session. cuak weh. terpaksa buat ayat time tu jugak.
in the end diorang yang bagi idea nak cakap apa, and weirdly/paradoxically/ironically/whatever you wanna call it, diorang quote balik apa yang saya penah cakap masa skolah dulu -- mende-mende yang saya sendiri tak ingat penah cakap. sebab selalunya, truthfully, saya punya ayat semua spontan and thought of at the moment, pastu tak melekat dah.
anyhow, pesanan yang saya bagi ari tu memang quote balik je ayat diorang. entah diorang play ke tak time MUST IN tu pun taktau. masih menunggu diorang cerita in detail kat blog skolah~
later that day, ikut Elly pegi Westfiled sebab de masih takde baju untuk ke banquet, which is tonight. lastly jumpa jugak baju.

bersiap-bersiap-bersiap, then bergerak ke Sheraton Anaheim.
kitorang sampai agak awal (sket) sebab diorang nak set up instruments and stuff.
the banquet ni sebenarnya untuk meraikan para graduan yang akan graduate secara officially esok. para ibu bapa graduan-graduan mostly datang, then ada a few lecturers, and some TPM officials (who arrived a bit late).
basically malam tu ada makan-makan, and some performances.

band (lagu "di tepi pantai yang indah" (tak ingat tajuk lagu) ngan Doing That Thing You Do), some dances, minus one My Way oleh Fahmi, duet Pandang-Pandang Jeling-Jeling oleh Fahmi ngan Erin.

ramai gila...taknah tengok convo pun kan sebelum ni (excluding the one yang tengok kat Lim Kok Wing dulu), so i was kind of very excited.

Graduation Commencement :

dah lama teringin benda ni, then masa birthday celeb ari tu de bagi ni. memang sangat terkejut takleh blah -- thank you sooo much Nik XDDD
Wafiq, ni laa my acfig (action figure) yang akak cakap ari tu.
okay, so in Wafiq-style (tiru sket ar Wafiq ek), meh mula bina my acfig :
rangka bahagian-bahagian acfig tersebut.
kelabu (atas kiri) : weapons
merah : guards untuk orang dan kuda
putih : kuda
hitam : orang
dan stiker.
memula buat, rasa saspen jugak sebab takde instructions, just tunjuk diagram as a whole je. so kena pandai-pandai laa tengok mana belah kanan mana belah kiri (actually ada indicate 'L' or 'R' kat the parts, so it wasn't that hard). since this is my first ever 'build-my-own' acfig, i'm really proud of my own achievement lepas abes sambungkan the parts.
CSI case, subject one : male, African-American/black.
CSI case, subject two : four-legged mammal, Caucasian/white.
and the finished product is --

okay, now to put on their accessories and stuff :

-- tu laa, dah laa tu my first convo. our commencement span 3 ari, ikut school, then the best thing is de broadcast kat internet!! ari tu baru tau. dekat ngan tempat ceremony tu ada tempat makan kan, diorang letak tv, so kalo malas nak duduk ramai-ramai boleh lepak kat tempat makan tu...bila tengok rasa cam orang tengok bola kat mamak. cuma yang 'main bola' tu pakai robe ngan topi grad 8D
